ABOUT THE MUNICIPALITY – MUSINA MUNICIPALITY
The Musina Local Municipality, nestled in the northern reaches of Limpopo province, South Africa, is a land steeped in history and brimming with diverse beauty. With its 12 wards and 24 councilors, it proudly governs a region bordering the iconic Beit Bridge, a gateway to neighboring Botswana and Zimbabwe.
MUSINA MUNICIPALITY BURSARY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
If you wish to apply for the bursary for 2024 academic year, you must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must demonstrate a strong academic record.
- Applicants must be legal residents of the Musina Local Municipality, Limpopo.
- Applicants must be current Matric students (as of 2023) or have recently completed Matric.
- Applicants must be currently pursuing or intending to pursue, in 2024, a qualification in one of the specified fields of study.
- Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Applicants must come from a disadvantaged community.
- Applicants’ parents or guardians must be unemployed, classified as indigent, or earning less than R3500 per month.
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be unable to afford tertiary studies without financial support.
- Applicants must not be children of councilors or officials.

WHAT DOES MUSINA MUNICIPALITY BURSARY COVER
The bursary will pay for the following expenses while you focus on your studies: registration fees, tuition fee, prescribed textbooks and accommodation
HOW TO APLY FOR MUSINA MUNICIPALITY BURSARY
Interested students who wish to be considered must download the Musina Municipality Bursary Application Form (.pdf) and complete it. You must make sure that your application form is accompanied by the following documents when you return it:
- ID document/ birth certificate (certified copy)
- Matric June results, if currently in Matric (certified copy)
- Matric certificate, if completed Matric (certified copy)
- Proof of enrolment at a tertiary institutions
- Proof of residence (rates account/ statement of water and lights)
- Parents or guardians ID documents/ birth certificates/ death certificates (certified copies)
- Parents or guardian affidavit
- Reference letter from school principal, if currently in Matric
