The Bushbuckridge Local Municipality invites bursary applications from students who wish to receive financial assistance to complete their studies. Applications must reach the municipality before or on 28 January 2023.
Bushbuckridge Local Municipality Bursary Eligibility Criteria
In order for your bursary application to be considered for 2023 academic year, you must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be a South African citizen
- Priority will be given to previously disadvantaged applicants
- Applicants must reside within Bushbuckridge Local Municipality area, in Mpumalanga
- Applicants must have completed Matric
- Applicants must be entering your 1st year of full-time study, within one of the fields listed above, in 2023 (students who are already studying will not be funded)
- You must be accepted to study at an accredited higher education institution in South Africa

How To Apply?
Interested and suitable individuals must collect application forms from the Bushbuckridge Municipality offices. Complete the application form and return it with the following:
- ID document or birth certificate (certified copy)
- Matric certificate/ statement (certified copy)
- Proof of acceptance at a higher education institution (on institutions letterhead)
- Proof of indigent status/ parents or guardians proof of household income (latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, pension receipt if receiving pension, death certificate if deceased, letter from a social worker if orphaned)
- Proof of residence
- Proof of disability from a registered medical doctor/ hospital/ clinic, if disabled
