WHAT ARE THE MOTSEPE FOUNDATION BURSARY REQUIREMENTS?
Applicants must satisfy the academic, financial, study-level and geographical criteria for the programme.
- You must currently be in Matric or have completed Matric.
- You must achieve an average pass mark of over 70% for core subjects, excluding Life Orientation and Home Language.
- You must be studying or intend to study towards an eligible undergraduate degree qualification.
- Your qualification must fall within one of the fields supported by the bursary.
- You must be studying or intend to study at a recognised tertiary institution in South Africa.
- You must provide evidence of financial need.
- You must reside in one of the geographical areas supported by the 2027 programme.

- Limpopo: Sekhukhune, Capricorn, Vhembe and Mopani
- Free State: Thabo Mofutsanyana and Mangaung
- KwaZulu-Natal: Umgungundlovu, eThekwini and King Cetshwayo
- Eastern Cape: OR Tambo, Nelson Mandela Bay and Buffalo City
- Mpumalanga: Bushbuckridge, Mbombela and KwaMhlanga
- North West: Mmakau, Madibeng and Bojanala
- Gauteng: Tshwane, Ekurhuleni, Johannesburg and Sedibeng
- Western Cape: Khayelitsha and Mitchells Plain
- Northern Cape: John Taolo Gaetsewe and Frances Baard
