WHAT ARE THE VKB GROUP BURSARY REQUIREMENTS?

Grade 12 Applicants

  • Valid South African ID.
  • National Senior Certificate with a minimum 70% average, or current Grade 12 results if still completing matric.
  • Latest Grade 11 and current Grade 12 results must be provided.
  • Intention to study the relevant funded qualification from January 2027.

Tertiary Students

  • Enrolled at an accredited South African tertiary institution.
  • Minimum 60% average in major subjects.
  • Full academic record, including the applicable current-year results.
  • Currently studying towards one of the qualifications covered by the relevant VKB bursary opportunity.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to complete vacation work at one of VKB’s regional head offices.
  • Willingness to relocate after completing studies for potential employment opportunities or work-back obligations.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Afrikaans.

Meeting the minimum requirements did not guarantee a bursary. VKB stated that only shortlisted candidates would be contacted and that it reserved the right not to award a bursary.
