WHAT FIELDS OF STUDY DOES THE ILASA BURSARY COVER?
The bursary supports students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications in Landscape Architecture at institutions offering programmes accredited by the South African Council for the Landscape Architectural Profession (SACLAP).
Studies must be pursued in the following institutions:
- University of Cape Town (UCT)
- University of Pretoria (UP)
- Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT)
- Tshwane University of Technology (TUT)

WHAT ARE THE ILASA BURSARY REQUIREMENTS?
- You must be a South African citizen.
- You must be pursuing, or intending to pursue, a Landscape Architecture qualification accredited by SACLAP at a South African tertiary institution.
- School leavers must have a minimum aggregate of 60% in English, Mathematics and Physical Science.
- Students already studying must have a minimum average of 60% across the subjects taken in the previous year of study and provide a full academic transcript.
- You must meet the entrance or continuation requirements of your chosen institution and qualification.
- You must submit a completed application form and evidence of your financial circumstances.
- You must intend to study in the academic year following the application deadline.
WHAT DOES THE ILASA BURSARY COVER?
The following expenses are covered:
- Annual registration and tuition fees.
- Books, stationery and course materials.
- Accommodation.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE ILASA BURSARY?
Applications must be submitted using the official process provided by ILASA.
Applications are submitted by completing the ILASA Bursary Application Form 2027.

WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED FOR THE ILASA BURSARY?
- A completed ILASA Bursary Application Form.
- Certified copies of the applicant’s identity document and the identity documents of their financial sponsors, such as parents or guardians.
- A certified copy of the official academic record for the previous year or years of study, or relevant school results for school leavers.
- A certified copy of the latest payslip for the household breadwinner or breadwinners.
- If a breadwinner is self-employed, a certified copy of the relevant financial balance sheet.
- If a breadwinner is unemployed, an affidavit confirming unemployment and the required financial declaration.
