MERCEDES BENZ BURSARY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be considered for the bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African Citizenship: Applicants must be South African citizens. Foreign nationals may apply if they possess a valid work visa or permit as per the Immigration Act 13, 2002.
- Academic Requirements:
- Matric: Applicants must be currently in Matric (in 2023) or have completed Matric with a minimum overall average of 65%.
- Full-time Study: Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program in one of the specified fields of study for the 2024 academic year.
- Accredited University: Applicants must be enrolled at a recognized and accredited university in South Africa.
- Academic Performance: Applicants must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65% for Matric final exams and for the most recent semester results if currently studying.
- Employment Restrictions: Applicants must not be employees of Mercedes-Benz South Africa Group of Companies.
- Student Priority: Preference will be given to first and second-year students.
- Disability Inclusion: Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply in accordance with the Mercedes-Benz South Africa Employment Equity Act.

In order for your application to be considered, you must be studying towards a qualification in one of listed study fields:
- Business Studies – Sales, After-sales, Marketing, Communications
- Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Software Development
- Electrical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
- Finance / Accounting
- Human Resources
- Law – Legal and Compliance
- Supply Chain / Logistics
MORE ABOUT MERCEDES BENZ BURSARY – VALUE AND BENEFITS
The bursary will cover the following expenses:
- Tuition fees
- Textbooks and digital allowances
- Accommodation or transport
- A stipend
In addition to financial support, bursary recipients may also have the opportunity to participate in vacation work at Mercedes-Benz Pretoria (Menlyn Maine) during holidays. Upon graduation, bursary recipients may be eligible for the MBSA Graduate Development program.
