About Knight Piésold Bursary Programme
Knight Piésold Bursary 2027 is a fully funded Civil Engineering bursary from a 103-year-old employee-owned global consulting firm. Established in South Africa in 1921, now 29 offices in 16 countries delivering mining, water, power and infrastructure projects. This is not a mining house bursary – it is a consulting engineering career pipeline.
If you want to design dams, mines, tailings facilities and power plants instead of just working on site, this bursary puts you in the design office with multidisciplinary teams – engineers, environmental scientists, geoscientists – plus paid vacation work every break.

- Studying or intend to study Civil Engineering degree in 2027
- At accredited university in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia or DRC
- South Africa: BEng or BSc Civil – entering 2nd, 3rd or 4th year in 2027 at any recognised SA university
- Namibia: BEng/BSc Civil – 3rd or 4th year – UP, Stellenbosch, NWU, UNAM, NUST
- Botswana: MEng or MSc Civil – BIUST / University of Botswana
- Zambia: BEng/BSc Civil – 4th or 5th year – any recognised Zambian university
- DRC: BEng/BSc/MEng/MSc Civil – 3rd, 4th, 5th year – Université Nouveaux Horizons / Université de Lubumbashi
- Strong academic record – 65%+ average preferred
- Financial need + ambitious + passionate about consulting career

- First year students in 2027 (SA) – must be 2nd year+
- Private university students – only public accredited
- Non-Civil Engineering – only Civil Engineering funded
- Students with 100% funding from other bursaries
