SIOC Bursary Eligibility Criteria
SIOC bursary is aimed at supporting young individuals who wish to further their studies but lack financial ability to do so. The target communities are as follows:
- Gamagara Local Municipality, Northern Cape;
- Ga-Segonyana Local Municipality, Northern Cape;
- Tsantsabane Local Municipality, Northern Cape;
- Joe Morolong Local Municipality, Northern Cape; and
- Thabazimbi Local Municipality, Limpopo.

SIOC Bursary Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be below 35 years of age
- Applicants must be admitted at the relevant Public Higher Education Institution for 2024 academic year;
- Must demonstrate that they are in financial need to fund under/postgraduate study with preference given to undergraduates, and
- Preference will be given to someone living with disabilities
What Does SIOC Bursary Cover?
The bursary will cater for the following cost:
- Tuition and registration fees
- Accommodation
- Prescribed study material
- Quarterly stipend
- Assistive devices (to enhance learning) included are for those with disabilities
