PPC Bursary

Scheme was incepted in year 2008 as an invested in both South Africa and the company. The PPC bursary caters for students who are looking for engineering bursaries to fund their studies for next academic year.

About more than 30 students have graduate from the programme since year 2008. This combines students from the community programme and the children of employees who are part of a programme which was started in 2015.

The financial assistance setup with the aim to match present and future skills requirements of the group and the sector. The bursary targets chemical, electrical, mechanical, mining and industrial engineering sectors of South Africa economy. Environmentally-oriented qualifications are also being supported.

MORE ABOUT PPC BURSARY – VALUE

This bursary scheme takes into account that students who are in financial need are not able to pay for the cost of important things they need to complete their studies. The bursary covers students’ cost towards the following:

  • Tuition fees
  • Accommodation
  • Meals and other study related cost

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PPC BURSARY

Applicants can apply for if they intend to gain a qualification in one of the following fields of study:

Chemical Engineering Bursary Criteria

  • Applicants must be South African
  • Must have completed your Matric/Grade 12
  • Must have passed your Matric with level 6 for Maths and Science
  • You must have been accepted to study Chemical Engineering

Electrical Engineering Bursary Criteria

  • Students must be South African
  • Must have completed your Matric/Grade 12
  • Must have passed your Matric with level 6 for Maths and Science
  • You must have been accepted to study Electrical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering Bursary Criteria

  • You must be South African
  • Must have completed your Matric/Grade 12
  • Must have passed your Matric with level 6 for Maths and Science
  • You must have been accepted to study Electrical Engineering

Mining Engineering Bursary Criteria

  • You must be South African
  • Must have completed your Matric/Grade 12
  • Must have passed your Matric with level 6 for Maths and Science
  • You must have been accepted to study Electrical Engineering

Industrial Engineering Bursary Criteria

  • You must be South African
  • Must have completed your Matric/Grade 12
  • Must have passed your Matric with level 6 for Maths and Science
  • You must have been accepted to study Electrical Engineering

Environmentally-oriented degrees will also be considered for any of PPC funding for next year.

PPC APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants need to meet the following requirements:

  • must be a South African citizen to apply for the PPC bursary
  • must undertake full-time undergraduate studies in a South African tertiary institution;
  • have a financial need; and
  • written proof of acceptance to an accredited South African University if not already in university.

Like others this bursary may require that applicants attach a list of documents to support their application. PPC will dictate which documents are needed although normally the following are always needed:

  • ID document
  • Proof of registration
  • Proof of income
  • Detailed curriculum vitae (CV)
