OMNIA BURSARY ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this bursary, you must meet these essential criteria:
- South African Citizenship: Be a proud South African citizen.
- Matric Completion: Currently be in Grade 12 (2023) or have successfully completed Matric.
- STEM Subjects Passed: Show your passion for science and technology by having passed Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy) and Science in Matric.
- Full-Time STEM Studies: Commit to full-time studies in a STEM-related field, preferably within the listed areas above, starting in 2024.
- Qualifying Level: Pursue an Advanced Diploma, BTech, Degree, Honours, Masters, or PhD (Diplomas and Higher Certificates are ineligible).
- First-Time Qualification: This is your first time pursuing this qualification level (no repeat degrees, honours, etc.).
- Strong Academic Record: Demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum overall average of 65%.
- Accredited Institution: Choose a public tertiary institution registered with DHET and SAQA, including community colleges and TVETs.

OMNIA BURSARY VALUE AND BENEFITS

Gap Year Students:

- Certified copy of Matric certificate
Students Currently Studying:

- Certified copy of most recent official academic transcripts
Additional Documents:
- Proof of acceptance/provisional acceptance for 2024 (letter or document)
- 1-page statement explaining your chosen field of study and post-graduation plans
- Curriculum Vitae
- Consent form signed by parent/guardian (students under 18) – complies with POPI regulations
- Certified copy of parent/guardian ID document or death certificate (if applicable)
- Department of Labour Employment Equity Act (EEA1) form AND doctor’s letter (if disabled)
- Bursary agreement/letter/offer (if receiving additional funding)
