WHAT IS THE AMANDLA OMOYA TRUST BURSARY?
The Amandla Omoya Trust Bursary is a community-focused education funding programme for people living within a 50-kilometre radius of the Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm in the Eastern Cape. The Trust owns shares in the wind farm for the benefit of surrounding communities and uses its community development activities to support education and skills development.
The programme supports post-school education and training at recognised South African institutions, including universities, universities of technology and public or private TVET colleges. The bursaries are managed by StudyTrust.
WHAT FIELDS OF STUDY DOES THE AMANDLA OMOYA TRUST BURSARY COVER?
The bursary programme supports a broad range of post-school qualifications, including technical and skills-training programmes, National Diplomas and degree programmes.
It caters for ANY Field for both academic and vocational routes.
These include:
- NQF Level 6 technical and skills-training programmes
- National Diploma programmes
- Degree programmes
- Recognised training programmes offered through eligible tertiary or training institutions

WHAT ARE THE AMANDLA OMOYA TRUST BURSARY REQUIREMENTS?
- You must be a South African citizen.
- You must reside within a 50-kilometre radius of the Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm.
- You must have been accepted at a recognised South African public or private tertiary education or training institution.
- Your proposed studies must fall within the eligible post-school qualification or training routes supported by the programme.
- You must demonstrate financial need and insufficient financial resources to continue with tertiary education.
- Academic performance is considered during selection, based on your latest available results or highest grade passed, as applicable.
