ABOUT THE BURSARY PROVIDER – ETDP SETA
The Education, Training and Development Sector Education and Training Authority (ETDP SETA) is a South African public entity mandated to promote and facilitate education, training, and development (ETD) within the ETD sector. By enhancing the sector’s skills profile, they aim to contribute to creating employment opportunities, particularly for previously disadvantaged individuals.
ABOUT ETDP SETA BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS OF STUDY
The ETDP SETA bursary caters for all full qualifications, at Universities, (Public and Accredited Private Institutions), Universities of Technology, Public and Private Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges, in South Africa.

- Professional Degree Qualifications: BEd / BEd Honours and Honours in:
- BA (Bachelor of Arts)
- BSc (Bachelor of Science)

- Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
- Occupational Therapy
- Public Administration
- Post Graduate Certificate:
- PGCE
- Diploma Qualifications:
- Any field of study
- Advanced Diploma:
- Any field of study
- Higher Certificate (NQF Level 5):
- Any field of study
ETDP SETA BURSARY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
In order to be considered for the bursary you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be a South African citizen
- Applicants must be unemployed
- Applicants must have completed Matric (National Senior Certificate)
- Applicants must be studying or intend on studying towards a qualification within one of the fields of study listed above
- Applicants must be accepted/ registered for studies at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa (University / public and accredited private institution / University of Technology / public and private Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College)
- You must NOT be receiving any other bursary funding
ETDP SETA BURSARY VALUE AND BENEFITS
Successful applicants will have the following expenses taken care of by ETDP SETA while their focus on the 2024 academic year studies:
- tuition fees,
- learning materials (books; laptop and stationary),
- accommodation and a meal allowance

Documents Required
- Letter of acceptance and /or registration from institution or proof of registration
- Certified copy of proof of identity (not older than six months)
- If registered with an institution, statement of results and proof of registration for both current and
new students - One page letter of motivation, indicating why the ETDP SETA should award you a bursary
