Thungela is South Africa’s coal mining company with its legacy dating as far back as year 1945. The company aims to build a leading thermal coal business in South Africa.
ABOUT THUNGELA BURSARY – STUDY FIELDS
Bursaries are awarded to deserving South Africa students who will join the company operations upon completion. Students who are in financial need or those requiring experiential training can apply.
Study Fields – the bursary caters for various engineering studies as listed and appearing on the list here below:
- Mining Engineering studies
- Electrical Engineering studies
- Environmental related studies
- Mechanical Engineering studies
- Geology
THUNGELA BURSARY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Only South African students can submit applications
- Be a student in the study fields set out by Thungela on the list above
- Bursaries are extended to previously disadvantaged candidates
- Applicants must be in need of financial assistance or experiential training in mining related studies
- You must be a student on your 1st or 2nd year of studies in a recognized institution of higher learning
