FNB offers bursaries in the following fields of study:

  • Commerce: Accounting, Economic & Management Science, Financial Management, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Information Technology, Information Systems, Actuarial Science, Economics, Auditing, Investment Management, Marketing, Management, Organizational Psychology, Law, Quantitative Finance, Psychology
  • Science and Engineering: FNB also has bursaries for Science and Engineering as well as Business Administration and a number of other opportunities through their partners.

FNB BURSARY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To qualify for a bursary, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a South African citizen with a valid ID Book or ID Card
  • Have at least 60% in English, Physical Science, and Mathematics
  • Provide certified copies of their June exam results (if still in Matric) or final results (if they have completed Matric)
  • Provide academic records up to date (if currently studying at a Tertiary Institute)
  • Provide 2 testimonials: one from a community leader (such as a Spiritual Leader or Local Civic Leader) and one from an Educational Official (such as a Lecturer or Principal)
  • Provide proof of income for both their parents and/or guardians
  • Write an essay about their life and a letter of recommendation from a parent or friend
  • Demonstrate great academic promise
  • Be willing to study full-time
