The Africa Wetu Foundation focuses on transforming the lives of young students from African countries. It achieves this by improving access to tertiary education which requires more funding for university qualifications. The Africa Wetu Foundation Bursary aims to provide funding for students who have what it takes to complete their studies. FIELDS COVERED BY THE AFRICA WETU FOUNDATION BURSARY
The AWF Bursary programme targets students who are pursuing the following qualifications undertaken in listed institutions:
- Boilermaker (CBMT Phases 1–4) / Fitter & Turner – Occupational Program Boilermaker (CBMT Phases 1 – 4) – Northlink TVET College in Cape Town
- MSc in Information Systems/Computer Science – University of the Western Cape (UWC)
- MSc in Information Systems/Computer Science – University of Cape Town
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR THE AWF BURSARY
The Foundation follows a criteria when selecting candidates for the bursary programme. Below is the list of requirements if you wish to be considered for funding in 2025 academic year:
- Applicants must be South Africa citizens
- Applicants must be admitted by accredited institution of higher learning (university or TVET college)
- Candidates must be younger than 30 years old
- Demonstrate financial neediness
- Applicants must intend studying in the listed institutions of higher learning (Western Cape Province)
