Successful applicants for the Mayoral Bursary Fund will have the following expenses covered:

- Applicants must be in possession of Matric/Grade 12
- Applicants must reside within the Greater Knysna Municipal Area
- Applicants must be registered or intend registering study full-time towards a qualification within a scarce skills sectorj
- Applicants must be pursuing SAQA accredited studies in a tertiary or TVET institution in South Africa
- Historically disadvantaged applicants will be considered

- STEP 1 – Download the official Knysna Municipality Bursary Application Form 2025 (.pdf)
- STEP 2 – Complete the form by providing all information required
- STEP 3 – Attach all required documents as listed below:
- A certified copy on your Identity Document
- Your final School Certificate
- Latest results from College, University, tertiary institutions
- Documentary evidence from all income earners in your home (see Section B of the application form)
- Proof that you have beed accepted by an institution of higher learning
- Banking details of institution on their bank letterhead
