The municipality’s bursary programme is a financial support scheme that is made available to students who went to Plettenberg Bay schools. There are four study fields that have been approved to receive funding and they are engineering, artisanal studies, building inspectorate and forensic investigation. BITOU MUNICIPALITY BURSARY FIELDS OF STUDY
Students who are interested in getting assisted by the Bitou Municipality to further their studies are invited to apply. You must be pursuing or intedning to pursue one of the following studies:
- Artisan – Bricklaying, Electrician, Plumber & carpentry
- Building Inspectors
- Engineering – (Electrical Engineering & Civil Engineering)

BITOU MUNICIPALITY BURSARY ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
There is a set of requirements that applicants for the bursary must meet as listed below:
- Only South African citizen can apply
- Bitou Municipality residing individuals can apply
- You must have done your schooling in Plettenberg Bay
- Applicants must be presently in Grade 12 or have completed Matric
- Applicants must intend enrolling or be presently studying towards qualifications listed under fields of study
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE BITOU MUNICIPALITY BURSARY
Interested learners and students who wish to apply must download the Bitou Municipality Bursary Application Form 2024 (.pdf) and complete it.
When you return your application form, it must be accompanied by the following documents:
- A detailed Curriculum Vitae
- A cover letter
- Complete application form
- Certified copies of Latest or Grade 12 results or equal qualification
- Your most recent examination results of students presently studying at tertiary institutions
