The Idwala Bursary is a financial aid scheme aiming to develop talent of youth from local community. It seeks to address the shortage of technical and other skills within the local community where Idwala operates.
The bursary covers expenses incurred by its beneficiaries which include tuition fees, book allowance, meals and accommodation. Bursary beneficiaries in mining studies work during vacations work to gain experience.
IDWALA BURSARY PROGRAMME – STUDY FIELDS
As part of the company’s sustainability agenda, Idwala Industrial Holdings intends awarding bursaries for 2025 academic year. Applicants must reside around Danielskuil in the Northern Cape Province.
Applications for funding request must come from students in the following fields of study:
- Mining
- Chemistry
- Engineering

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IDWALA BURSARY
To be considered for the Idwala Bursary programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be a South African citizens
- Applicants must be in possession of Matric
- Applicants must have passed all subjects in Matric with a least 60% for all major subjects
- Applicants must reside within a 200km radius of Danielskuil (Northern Cape)
- Applicants from BEE groups as per BBBEE policy groups get preference

- Affidavit if one or both parents are late
