The Dube TradePort Bursary Programme was established to help students from KwaZulu-Natal province achieve their academic goals.

About Dube TradePort Bursary
The Dube TradePort Bursary Programme 2026 is a funding scheme aimed at supporting deserving students who are reside in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. The bursary programme is open to students who are studying or intend to study at public higher learning institutions within KZN. These include the following:
- University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN)
- Durban University of Technology (DUT)
- Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT)
- University of Zululand
The bursary offers support to students from their first to fourth year up to a bachelor’s degree only. Students in private institutions are not supported under this bursary scheme.
Fields of Study
The Dube TradePort Bursary 2026 is open to students pursuing undergraduate studies in the following fields:
- Accounting
- Agricultural Studies
- Architecture
- Built Environment
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Information Technology
- Mechanical Engineering
- Property Management
- Quantity Surveying
- Supply Chain Management
- Transport Economics
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Dube TradePort Bursary Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Citizenship:
- South African
Residency:
- Only students residing in KwaZulu-Natal
Age Limitations:
- Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
Institution:
- Must be enrolled or accepted at one of the four public universities in KZN listed above.
Financial Need & Academic Merit:
- Bursaries will be awarded based on the financial situation of the applicant’s parents or guardians, overall academic performance, and available budget.
What the Dube TradePort Bursary Covers
The bursary covers the following study-related expenses:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation and meals
- Prescribed books and learning materials
- A monthly allowance (where applicable)

1. Ddownload the Dube TradePort Application Form 2026 online
2. Submit the following supporting documents with your application:
- A motivational letter explaining why you deserve the bursary (read our guide on how to write a bursary motivational letter)
- Certified copy of your South African ID
- Certified copy of your Matric certificate or latest results
- Proof of acceptance or registration at a tertiary institution
- Certified copies of your parents’/guardians’ ID documents
- Proof of household income (like: payslips or affidavit)

The closing date for applications is 28 May 2025 – late applications do not qualify.
