AFRICA COSMOS EDUCATION TRUST BURSARY – ELIGIBILITY
Applicants for the bursary programme must meet the following requirements:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be in possession of Matric completed in 2024.
- Be studying full-time towards an undergraduate qualification in one of the specified fields.
- Be first time university student 2025.
- Be enrolled at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa (University or Technical College).
- Possess a strong academic record.
- Be no older than 35 years.
- Must be unemployed.
- Be in financial need due to income levels and/or the employment status of parents or guardians.
- Be able to achieve and maintain an acceptable pass rate throughout their studies.
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
- Adhere to the rules and regulations of their chosen tertiary institution.
- Not engage in or accept any other bursary award or financial assistance without prior written consent from the Trust.
- Have a valid personal email address and WhatsApp phone number for communication.
- Consent to a background check and qualification verification.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE AFRICA COSMOS EDUCATION TRUST BURSARY?
Interested students must download the Africa Cosmos Education Trust Bursary Application Form 2025 (.pdf)
The form must be completed by filling in all required sections. Remember to attach all required documents as listed in the documents section below.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- Completed Bursary Application Form
- Certified Copy of ID for applicant and parents/guardians, (No longer than 3 months)
- Proof of address
- Affidavit (If parent(s)/guardian(s) are unemployed)
- Pay slips (If parent(s)/guardian(s) are employed)
- Proof of monthly household income & dependents
- Monthly budget (income and expenses)
- Academic transcripts – Matric Results
- Copy of loan/bursary agreement (if receiving other sources of funding)
- Preliminary acceptance letter or proof of registration from an accredited tertiary institution
- Tax Invoices indicating tuition fees, prescribed textbooks and accommodation (if applicable)
- Testimonial from Principal/Teacher (as applicable)
- CV
- Essay
- Police clearance or affidavit from SAPS stating candidate has no criminal record
