If you are a well performing students who wishes to pursue engineering studies, the Bigen Bursary Programme 2026 is for you. Apply for funding and recieve registration, tuition, book and other study related fees.
Bigen bursary is made available to South African students who are studying towards engineering qualifications. The bursary is open to students enrolled at any university in within the borders of South Africa.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be citizens of South Africa
- Applicants must be accepted to the University.
- You must be in 1st year of study with a minimum 70% average.
- Applicants in 2nd – 3rd year must achieve a minimum 65% average.
- You must not be a holder of any other bursary and/or sponsorship including NSFAS
- Demonstrate Leadership Acumen
Fields of Study Covered by Bigen Bursary
The bursary is open to all engineering qualifications related to Bigen’s services. You must be undertaking your studies as undergraduate in a South African university.
Bursary Value
The bursary is a fixed amount designed to cater for the following expenses:
- tuition fees,
- book fees and
- other necessary expenses
NB: The bursary does not cater for accommodation expenses but is limited to expenses indicated above.
Experiential Training
Bursary holders will be exposed to the practical applications of his/her studies by four weeks paid vacation work per year provided that Bigen is in the position to offer such vacation work.
