If you are a South African student and you are reading this because you are looking for financial support to fund your studies in 2025, you are running out of time. Many bursaries are finalising their application processes and will soon be shortlisiting candidates for interviews. The list of bursaries closing in June comprises of more than ten brusary programmes that will be closing during this month.
These bursaries fall under various study fields and have individual deadlines that you must not miss. They cover accounting, engineering, law, medicine, construction, agriculture and other study fields. We have added another list of bursaries open all year round and those with no deadlines at all.

LIST OF BURSARIES CLOSING IN JUNE 2025
South African Veterinary Foundation (SAVF) Bursary
- Closing Date: 2 June 2025
- Description: Aimed at veterinary science students in South Africa, this bursary supports those pursuing a degree in Veterinary Science at accredited institutions.
Motsepe Foundation Bursary
- Closing Date: 6 June 2025
- Description: Open to learners and university students across various fields including engineering, entrepreneurship, and sciences. Preference is given to students from underprivileged backgrounds.
Paper Manufacturers Association of South Africa (PAMSA) Bursary
- Closing Date: 6 June 2025
- Description: Supports students pursuing postgraduate Chemical Engineering studies, especially in the pulp and paper manufacturing sector. Late applications will be accepted until 27 June 2025.
WENOSA Scholarship
- Closing Date: 9 June 2025
- Description: Designed for female students from underserved communities pursuing STEM qualifications. Focused on closing the gender gap in science and technology fields.
Fine Music Radio (FMR) Bursary
- Closing Date: 13 June 2025
- Description: Awarded to students studying classical or jazz music at a recognised South African tertiary institution. Geared toward supporting the next generation of musicians.
Sanlam Bursary
- Closing Date: 30 June 2025
- Description: For students studying or intending to study Actuarial Science. Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic performance and leadership potential.
Bursaries Open All Year Round (No Closing Date)
These bursaries are open throughout the year and accept applications on a rolling basis.
Investec Bursary Programme
- Closing Date: Open all year round
- Description: Supports academically strong students in need of financial assistance, focusing on studies in commerce, finance, and technology.
EWSETA Bursary
- Closing Date: Open all year round
- Description: For students in energy and water-related studies, aimed at developing skills in critical sectors that support sustainable development.
Vodacom Bursary Programme
- Closing Date: Open all year round
- Description: Offers full funding to students in STEM fields, with a focus on empowering disadvantaged youth with high academic potential.
Allan Gray Orbis Fellowship
- Closing Date: Open all year round
- Description: Provides funding and mentorship for entrepreneurial-minded students in various disciplines, including commerce, engineering, and humanities.
