Are you a young South African student who dreams big but worried that you might no afford your tertiary education? The CCBSAvBursary could be your chance to access quality tertiary education and kickstart a career of your dreams. Launched in 2021, the CCBSA Bursary Programme is designed to support academically deserving students from underprivileged communities. Over the past few years, the programme has invested more than R8 million to help students across the country achieve their academic and career goals.
CCBSA Bursary Eligibility Criteria
The CCBSA bursary invites applications for funding for 2024 academic year. The aim of the bursary is to provide funding and support to students who have all it takes to receive financial assistance for education.
Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be accepted:
- Applicants must be black South African, as per the BBBEE codes of good practice (Black African Learners will be prioritised)
- Ampplicants ust pass Grade 12 with bachelors’ admission and an acceptance from a South African based university Residing in one of the host communities will be advantageous
- Applicants must be in Grade 12 in the recruiting year
- Must not be affiliated with Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa and its affiliates
- Must apply at an accredited South African tertiary institution and meet all criteria above
To be considered for this bursary applicants must come from communities in which CCBSA has its operations. These are as follows:
- Mdantsane,
- Motherwell,
- Phoenix,
- Inanda,
- Ntuzuma,
- KwaMashu,
- Greater Eldorado Park Community Forum (including Freedom Park and Motsoaledi),
- Tembisa,
- Greater Nigel,
- PTA West Ward 55,
- Westenburg – Seshego,
- Alabama and
- Mangaung
What Is The CCBSA Bursary Allowance?
Students who are accepted into the Bursary programme for 2024 academic year will receive assistance with:
- registration,
- tuition,
- accommodation,
- meal allowances and
- textbooks.
