Tronox Bursary South Africa 2025

ABOUT THE COMPANY – TRONOX

Tronox is one of world leaders in the mining of titanium dioxide pigment which is essential to the brightening and adding durability to items like paints, paper, and plastic.

KZN Sands which is part of Tronox has an operation in northern KwaZulu-Natal starting from Macambini area all the way to Empangeni. This operation is N2 Maputo corridor and it starts from Fairbreeze Mine near Mtunzini which employs about 700 people. The process outcome is a heavy minerals concentrate that gets transported to a Mineral Separation Plant in the Empangeni Smelter Complex.

TRONOX BURSARY 2026 – STUDY FIELDS

Tronox is inviting applications from students which wish to pursue studies in fields that are sponsored by the company. Students must be enrolled for one of the following programmes:

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mine Engineering
  • Mine Surveying

BURSARY VALUE &BENEFITS

The amount that get awarded by Tronox bursary will cover the following student’s expenses:

  • book allowances
  • tuition fees
  • accommodation allowance
  • meals allowance

Beneficiaries of Tronox bursary will be granted the opportunity to gain experience through practical work as prescribed in the course enrolled for.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Tronox has put together some requirements that must be met by applicants in order for their applications to be accepted:

  • You must be in possession of Matric or Grade 12
  • Applicants must be South African citizens
  • You must have passed your Matric with level 6 for Mathematics & Science, and Level 5 for English in Matric
  • Your average pass mark must be an average of 65% in your most recent studies

  • Your proof of address
  • Your Matric/Grade 12 results
  • Application cover letter indicating the course you intend or you are enrolled on
  • Certified copy of 2021 academic record (if already studying in an institution of higher learning)

TRONOX BURSARY CLOSING DATE

The closing date for Tronox Bursary Programme is 7 April 2025 – Applications received after this date will not be considered.
