The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) was founded in April 2000 to develop skills in the South African construction industry. Through the Thapelo Madibeng Bursary, CETA funds students in built environment qualifications. Bursary covers tuition, prescribed books up to R3500 per year, accommodation depending on circumstances, meals, up to R120 000 per year – reviewed annually.

Who Can Apply?
You must be a South African citizen
You must have completed Matric with minimum 60% average
You must have minimum 60% for Mathematics and Science in Matric
You must be registered or intend to register at a CETA recognised tertiary institution
You must have completed one or more years of study (1st years NOT funded – must be 2nd year+)
You must be under age 35
You must have proven financial need
Disabled students must include original medical certificate on CETA template
