What is the MacMillan Foundation?

The MacMillan Foundation NPC is a non-profit organisation founded by SNAPP Architects. The main objective of the fundation is to empower women in architecture. It has identified Black South African women under 35 years old who hail from disadvantaged backgrounds. Through bursaries, mentorship, and workshops, the foundation support students who have strong academic performance abilities but lack money to pursue their dreams.

Eligibility Requirements

If you want to further your architecture studies with this bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a South African (African, Coloured, or Indian)
  • You must be under 35 years of age
  • Demonstratete strong academic capabilities
  • Be previously disadvantaged
  • Be enrolled or accepted for a postgraduate Architecture degree in 2026
