Eligibility Criteria – Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a South African citizen
- Aged between 19 and 35 years
- Studying full-time at a recognised South African public university
- Maintaining a minimum overall academic average of 60% (some sources note 65% for strong merit consideration)
- Not receiving any other bursary funding or obligated to another sponsor
- Registered for 2nd or 3rd year studies in one of the listed fields for 2026
