Foskor Bursary South Africa 2025

The Foskor Bursary Programme for 2025 academic year is open to South African students who wish to pursue Engineering or related studies. To qualify for this bursary you must undertake your undergraduate studies in any public institution of higher learning with the boarders of South Africa.

About the Company – Foskor

Established in 1951 by the Industrial Development Corporation, Foskor has evolved into a leading producer of phosphates for South Africa’s agricultural sector.

Today, the company stands as the nation’s sole producer of phosphoric acid, phosphate ore, and granular fertilizer, playing a pivotal role in supporting the country’s agricultural growth.

Foskor’s core operations encompass phosphate rock mining, phosphate-based fertilizer production, and phosphoric acid production. Mining activities are conducted in Phalaborwa, Limpopo, while processing takes place at the Richards Bay facility in KwaZulu-Natal.

This strategic positioning allows Foskor to efficiently transform raw materials into essential agricultural inputs, contributing to the sustainability and productivity of South Africa’s farming sector.

Fields of Study

Foskor invites applications from students who wish to benefit from its bursary programme for 2024 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded for Bachelors Degree qualifications within the following fields:

  • Accounting (BCom)
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Law
  • Management Science (majoring in Business Analytics) (BCom)
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Metallurgy
  • Mining Engineering
  • Quantity Surveying

Eligibility Requirements

If you wish to apply for Foskor bursary programme to fund for your studies, make sure you meet this criteria:

  • Completion of Matric is mandatory.
  • A minimum score of 60% in Mathematics, Science, or a Commercial subject at the higher grade level is required.
  • You must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in one of the specified fields on a full-time basis.
  • Enrollment at a recognized and accredited university in South Africa is essential.
  • You must not be receiving financial support from another bursary program.
