ABB EDUCATION TRUST BURSARY FIELDS OF STUDY
The ABB Education Trust Bursary offers financial assistance to South African students who wish to pursue the following qualifications:
- BEng/BSc in Industrial Engineering
- BEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering
- BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering
All the above studies must be undertaken as a Degree and not Diploma

ABB EDUCATION TRUST BURSARY REQUIREMENTS
These requirements apply for all applicants pursuing studies in 2026 academic year:
- Only South African citizens can apply
- You must be entering 2nd year or higher with 65% average in your first year
- Applicants must be pursuing Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree
- Studies must be undertaken in a recognised university in South Africa
- Combined household income R600 000 or less per year (payslips/affidavit needed).
- You must be a Black Female (African, Coloured and Indian)
- Black female students with disabilities are encouraged to apply
Bursary Value
The bursary covers the following expenses:
- Full tuition & registration
- Prescribed books
- On-campus residence or travel allowance
- Laptop (if required)
- Monthly stipend

- Full academic record since Matric
- Proof of university registration for 2026 academic year
- Fees statement for 2026
- Proof of student accommodation and costs or proof of travel cost estimates if staying at home
- Copy of South African identity card
- Evidence of financial need (parents/guardian proof of income)
