SIOC-CDT Bursary 2025 – Know How To Apply

We aim to provide potential applicants with requirements, study fields and closing dates to help them apply for the SIOC bursary before the closing date. All applications must reach SIOC before the date set out as the cut-off.

Applicants for the bursary must be from Gamagara Local Municipality, Northern Cape, Ga-Segonyana Local Municipality, Northern Cape, Tsantsabane Local Municipality, Northern Cape, Joe Morolong Local Municipality, Northern Cape and Thabazimbi Local Municipality, Limpopo.

ABOUT THE SIOC-CDT

The SIOC Community Develpment Trust was set up wit the aim of fasttracking the development of people residing in communities where SIOC mines. The operations of the company are primarily based in the Northern Cape and Limpopo provinces of South Africa. The strategic approach of the company through the development trust is to build communities that are able to remain sustainable evn if mines cease to operate.

Since its establishment i year 2006, the trust has continued to make investments that make a difference in the lives of these communities.

SIOC CDT BURSARY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Interested students in selected communities who wish to apply for financial assistance must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants must be below 35 years of age
  • Applicants must be admitted at the relevant Public Higher Education Institution for 2025 academic year;
  • Must demonstrate that they are in financial need to fund under/postgraduate study with preference given to undergraduates, and
  • Preference will be given to someone living with disabilities

SIOC CDT BURSARY VALUE

The bursary will cater for Tuition & registration fees, accommodation, prescribed study material, quarterly stipend and devices to help enhance learning.

All applications from prospective bursary recipients must be done online via SIOC Bursary Application 2025 dedicated page. You will be required to download applications forms and complete them.
