About the SIOC-CDT
The SIOC Community Develpment Trust was set up wit the aim of fasttracking the development of people residing in communities where SIOC mines. The operations of the company are primarily based in the Northern Cape and Limpopo provinces of South Africa. The strategic approach of the company through the development trust is to build communities that are able to remain sustainable evn if mines cease to operate.
Since its establishment i year 2006, the trust has continued to make investments that make a difference in the lives of these communities.

Eligibility Criteria – Who Can Apply?
Interested students in selected communities who wish to apply for financial assistance must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be below 35 years of age
- Applicants must be admitted at the relevant Public Higher Education Institution for 2026 academic year;
- Must demonstrate that they are in financial need to fund under/postgraduate study with preference given to undergraduates, and
- Preference will be given to someone living with disabilities

SIOC CDT BURSARY VALUE
The bursary will cater for Tuition & registration fees, accommodation, prescribed study material, quarterly stipend and devices to help enhance learning.
