Fields of Study Covered by Bowmans Bursary

Students who desire pursuing qualifications falling under law are invited to apply. The bursary is now open to receive applications for 2026 academic year.If you are in matric or already a university student, you are welcome to sumbit your application for funding.

Bowmans Bursary Eligibility

Bowmans has set out a criteria for eligibility that applicants must meet in order to be considered. If you wish to apply for financial assistance, check if you are the candidate:

  • Applicants must be South African citizens
  • Applicants must have completed Matric or be currently in Matric
  • Applicants must be studying or intend enrolling for a Law qualification
  • Applicants must be studying or registered to study at a recognised university in South Africa
  • You must have passed with an average of 70% in your current year of study
  • Learners and students passionate about Law must apply
  • Preference will be given to students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds

Expenses Covered by the Bowmans Bursary

The bursary will cater for all your expenses related to your approved studies. The following expenses will be covered:

  • tuition fees,
  • textbooks,
  • accommodation and
  • meal allowances

How To Apply?

In order for your application to be accepted it must be done online via Bowmans Bursary Application 2026

Your application needs to be accompanied by the following list of documents:

  • Your Identity Document (ID certified copy)
  • Certified copies of your Grade 11 final results and Grade 12 latest results, if presently in Matric
  • A certified copy of your Matric certificate if you already completed Matric
  • Latest university academic record if already studying at tertiary
  • Motivation letter stating why you must be considered for the bursary

Closing Date

30 September 2025

We encourage students to submit their application before the closing date to avoid being rejected.
