ELIGIBILITYCRITERIA
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship: South African citizen or permanent resident
- Academic level: Current matriculant (Grade 12) or first-year university student
- Study mode: Full-time undergraduate degree in one of the approved fields at a public South African university (not private institutions)
- Matric performance:
- At least 70% in Mathematics (not Maths Literacy)
- At least 70% for English FAL or 65% for English HL
- Minimum 50% in all other subjects
- University students: Minimum 60% overall average in first semester exams
- Additional requirement for Actuarial Science: Only first-year students may apply, except UCT Business Science Actuarial Science students

Required Documents

Selection Criteria
- Applicants must apply timeously to their chosen university as well as for the bursary.

- Changing your degree after application may result in cancellation of the bursary.
- No funding is available for private universities.
